Where oh Where will my Middie bear go?
Have you ever heard of Flat Stanley?
The Flat Stanley Project
The Flat Stanley Project is an educational project that was started in 1995 by Dale Hubert, a third grade school teacher in London, Ontario, Canada. The project features paper cut-outs based on the title character of the 1964 children's book Flat Stanley
The project was designed to facilitate the improvement of the reading and writing skills of elementary school students, while also promoting an interest in learning about different people and places. Students/ Children create or color they own FLAT STANLEY and they bring him along and document their adventures.
The Middie Bear Adventure
Like the Flat Stanley project we want to create Middie Bear Cartoon Templates that children can have and take along on their travels of our art show. Our objective is to have children get and color/ decorate NAHS members Middie Bear Cartoons and travel around to different artwork with the bears to experience the gallery on May 17th

Our Project
1)Design a game or activity that engages the children to walk around the gallery with their Adventure Pal, Their Middie Bear and observe and discover artwork.
Possible ideas for an activity
2)Create your own Cartoon Middie Bear for elementary students and guests to color!
This will be a line drawing that we will be vector on illustrator! (don't worry if you don't know illustrator we will help you or pair you up!)
Possible ideas for an activity
- A scavenger hunt where the instruction are on the back of the bear they decorated
- different photo opportunities around the gallery to take selfies with their middie bears
- have different clues "like an anagram" around the gallery and the answer has be entered on the back of the middie bear.
